About National Testing Agency (NTA)
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), which is now known as Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GOI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier testing organization under the Societies Registration Act (1860) for conducting efficient, transparent and international standards tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admissions to premier higher education institutions. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), an Autonomous Body of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, with the task of conducting the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE) w.e.f 2019.
NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR HOTEL MANAGEMENT JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (NCHM JEE) – 2026
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE-2026) for admission to the B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) Course at the Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM) affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHM&CT) for the Academic Year 2026-27 in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode.

Details of Examination
Medium of Question Paper:
- The medium of Question Paper shall be in English & Hindi only.
- Option of medium of Question Paper should be carefully chosen by the Candidate, while filling the Application Form online. The option once exercised cannot be changed.
- In case of any ambiguity in translation/construction of a question in the exam, its English version shall be treated as final and the decision of NTA shall be final in this regard.
Duration of Examination: Three hours (180 minutes).

NCHM JEE Eligibility Criteria 2026
To fill out the NCHM JEE 2026 registration form, candidates must meet the NCHMCT JEE 2026 eligibility criteria. Check out the eligibility criteria for the NHCMCT JEE 2026 below:
As per the New Education Policy, there is no age restriction for candidates appearing in NCHM JEE.
There are no minimum marks that candidates need in their qualifying exam. However, they need to fulfil the following conditions:
- Must have passed or must be appearing in 10+2.
- English must be a compulsory subject.
The list of qualifying exams are as follows:
- Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or State Boards of Secondary Education.
- Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognised university.
- General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
- High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University
- Any Public School / Board / University Examination in India or in a foreign country that should be recognised by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) / Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
