Latest updates indicate that registrations for CUET (UG) 2024 are slated to commence from February 28, 2024. CUET (UG) stands as the nation’s second-largest entrance exam. With 12 lakh applicants in its inaugural edition, the numbers surged to about 15 lakh in 2023, and the National Testing Agency (NTA) anticipates approximately 20 lakh applications for CUET (UG) 2024.

NTA is yet to formally announce specifics about CUET (UG) 2024, besides the exam window scheduled between May 15 – 31, 2024. Nonetheless, speculation suggests significant alterations in the exam pattern and mode.

The most noteworthy anticipated change is the adoption of a hybrid mode (online & offline) for CUET (UG) 2024. Online-only assessments will be designated for subjects with fewer than 1.5 lakh registrations. Conversely, subjects with higher registration numbers and exams in regions like Kashmir, Jharkhand, and parts of the Northeast will likely be conducted offline (pen & paper).

CUET (UG) 2024 is projected to be held in a single shift for the first time, obviating the need for normalization. Additionally, students will be restricted to choosing a maximum of six subjects (including the General Test) in their application forms.
