Every year Symbiosis conducting 3 entrance exams for undergraduates under SET 2023 for its various courses. These include:
- Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) 2023 General – for Management / Mass Communication / Economics / Liberal Arts / Computer Studies / Information Technology / Applied Statistics and Data Science
- Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) 2023 – for Law degrees
- SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE) 2023 – for Engineering degrees
In latest notification announced by SIU for 2023 – Four-year degree programme have multiple entry and exit options
a) If a candidate pursue a 1 year programme then they will get a Certificate at the end of the first year
b) If a candidate pursue a 2 year programme then they will get a Diploma at the end of the first two years of the programme with 84 credits
c) A UG Degree at the end of 3 years of the programme with 120 credits
d) A UG Degree with Honours / Research at the end of the 4 years of the programme with 160 credits
* Not applicable for programmes under SLAT, SITEEE and B.Sc. / BA Liberal Arts.
SHORTLISTING AND SELECTION PROCESS
Candidates will be shortlisted for PI-WAT/ST-PI (PERSONAL INTERACTION AND WRITING ABILITY TEST) based on their respective Entrance Test marks and to get the information and dates of PI-WAT/ST-PI.
Candidate has to check the respective institute website.
*It is mandatory to attend all components / tests of PI-WAT/ST-PI to be eligible for admission to any UG programmes

SET Exam Trend
The following points explain the previous year’s SET exam analysis, type of questions asked, mode of exam, sections involved, and marking scheme. This can help you improve your preparation and score higher.
- Type of questions:-Multiple Choice Questions MCQs.
- Sections:-Generally four sections, English, Quantitative, Analytical & logical reasoning and General Awareness.
- Maximum Marks:-The examination generally consists of a total of 60 marks.
- Marking Scheme:-1 mark is awarded for every correct answer, and there is no negative marking.
- Difficulty level:-The overall difficulty level of SET, considering previous years’ examination, is moderate to difficult.
- English: it is the most scoring section in the examination with about 70-80% of questions from easy to moderate difficulty.
- Quantitative: it is generally the most challenging section, with about 40-50% of questions of moderate difficulty
- Exam pattern: SET exam pattern was the same as the previous year.
